A Review of Instructional Practices for STEM Education in Preschool Context

Abstract

The goal of this study is to examine empirical research studies related to preschool STEM education in order to identify instructional practices mainly employed in preschool settings. Eighteen articles published between 2010 and 2020 were chosen for the current review study from two databases to achieve the purpose of the current study. Four STEM instructional strategies prominently used in the preschool context have been identified across the literature. This study is significant in that its finding provides insights into future directions for STEM education and research for our youngest learners.
