Technological advancements increasingly have allowed for the rise of virtual relationships and working environments, including the field of mentoring and coaching. We focused on the process of virtual mentoring and coaching (VMC) and proposed a model in this study. We identified four steps that participants went through in VMC, including (a) presentation, (b) collaboration, (c) reflection, and (d) action plan. Data analysis included qualitative analysis and systematic coding of various data sources. An in-depth analysis of interview and video data was performed and the findings indicated that the mentor-coaches supported school leaders to develop their instructional capacity through supervision, capacity building, and transformation. We conclude with implications for research and practice.
