Youth Participatory Action Research (YPAR) has innumerable potential to be transferred into digitally engaged learning platforms, leveraged as spaces that advance student-centered culturally meaningful pedagogies and student-led learning activities. Additionally, such use of digital technologies and media aimed at bringing a paradigm shift in students’ educational opportunities and cultural learning practices are considered as having innovative momentum in the current body of research. The paper explores how the expansion of the YPAR project through an online learning environment can contribute to the development of East and South Asian American youths’ transformative agency as well as the advocacy of youths’ initiative and participation in attempting to disrupt daily tensions and conflicts that arise as manifestations from their social and educational contexts.
