Social-emotional learning has proven to be effective not only at providing students with important social and emotional skills but mastering these skills has also shown to be a better predictor of high school academic success. Simultaneously, developing an innovative intervention can be costly and time-consuming, involving enormous validation process. This paper aims to suggest a guideline used to develop culturally focused social-emotional learning, which considers both fitness to target population and fidelity of implementation.
