In this narrative inquiry, the researcher explored the lived experiences of a culturally diverse military family and the role of faith in sustaining them, despite challenges in navigating multiple geographic relocations, school districts, and special education personnel. Although previous research has shown that military families face additional challenges due to the rigors of military life, challenges faced by military families from diverse backgrounds has not been adequately researched. In this study, the reciprocal nature of the relationship enabled the researcher to understand the ways in which the family was sustained, despite the challenges and prejudice they faced. The researcher and participant were both impacted in the sharing of their stories and lives with each other.
