Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explore the internal quality assurance and accreditation (QAA) at University X in Afghanistan. This case study also explores the perceptions of faculty members toward QAA, the impact of this policy on teaching and learning, as well as opportunities and challenges this policy may offer in the years to come. This qualitative study takes a single case study and a document review approach in exploring the perspective of faculty members in the implementation of the QAA policy in one of the universities in Kabul. This method has been chosen because it will allow the researcher to explore policy implementation processes and its outcome at a single university.
