With the Emergent Bilingual (EB) population growing in both traditional and new immigrant destination states, many school districts are struggling to develop the capacity to meet the needs of students from different ethnic and cultural backgrounds and continue to observe lower achievement and long-term outcomes among EBs. This study uses an integrative literature review to critically analyze the extent to which evidence based practices build upon EBs Community Cultural Wealth (CCW). The results reveal six high-leverage evidence based practices that vary in terms of how they build upon the CCW of EBs. This study has salient research and practice implication for schools.
