The study examined the nomadic subjectivities produced over time in a transnational, diasporic space of a Vietnamese American Buddhist temple in a U.S. southern state. To be specific, an ethnographic research project was conducted to explore the nomadic subjectivities being constructed, shifted and connected in webs of human and nonhuman relations during that process of spatial production. The research question that guided this study was “How were nomadic subjectivities co-created within the space of a transnational Buddhist temple?” The study then discussed implications for democratic education beyond the school boundaries into the community.
