Abstract

Beyond the classroom space, undergraduate research can provide students and faculty a place and opportunity for mentoring and collaboration. Further, student-faculty interactions are often cited as one of the most significant factors that contribute to positive social and academic outcomes for Latinx college students. This study examines the nature of these interactions, which can contribute to positive and meaningful experiences that go beyond the classroom space and the traditional metrics of academic success.
