It is essential to guide society in believing the importance of Education for Sustainability (EfS); however, this would require school leaders to demonstrate transformational leadership practices. The whole-school approach to sustainability was utilized as a lens to understand EfS and transformational leadership as an approach to educational leadership. The participant was an exemplary principal of a school located in the rural community of Nepal. The methods of data collection included interview, observation and document analysis. The findings of this study show that the principal demonstrated involvement in four areas of leadership practices regarding sustainability identified by the conceptual framework. This research contributes towards the existing knowledge in the field by establishing a link between EfS and educational leadership.
