Parents face an expanding array of K-12 schooling options when determining where to educate their children. This paper examines how highly skilled, return migrant parents living in Bangalore, a city in southwest India, navigate these varied K-12 educational options. Through analyzing interviews with parents from 37 families, I argue that return migrants make K-12 schooling decisions based on the forms of citizenship they would like their children to cultivate. As such, this presentation highlights how the forms of citizenship cultivated within schools serve as an important variable in where parents decide to educate their children.
