Research on virtually supporting science inquiry practices is a necessity as education continues to adapt to the COVID-19 pandemic. Mentoring and traditional science learning have typically been constrained to the normalized boundaries of the brick-and-mortar classroom. A novel course in higher education attempts to support mid-level (4th-8th grade) students' meaningful learning of science by having undergraduate STEM majors as virtual mentors of inquiry projects. This study analyzes the undergraduate science majors' mentoring experience, virtually supporting mid-level science students' inquiry science practices.
