"Imagine teacher education as if students’ of color lives mattered and their voices were heard. What can happen when we invite students of color to have a seat at the table to not only share their experiences in teacher education but to design new possibilities for teacher education that fortifies and sustains their commitments to teaching? Instead of research designs that position students of color as participants and respondents, how might teacher education research reposition them as architects of design? What is our responsibility as teacher education researchers who draw on voice methodologies to disrupt spaces that exclude racialized voices and experiences? How might we use our findings to redirect teacher education reform locally as well as more broadly?
