Abstract

Barbara Schneider and Joe Krajcik will present the lessons of their latest book, Learning Science (Yale University Press) that highlights how problem-based learning lead to greater student engagement in science education, including from students from disadvantaged backgrounds, and discuss how these approaches can be implemented in an online or hybrid environment. The research is based on a comparative approach between the United States (Michigan) and Finland.
