Session Type: Roundtable Session
The presentations in this symposium highlight relationships between deeper learning (DL) experiences in high school and longer-term student outcomes. The first presentation examines the impact of attending a DL network high school on college outcomes (e.g., bachelor’s degree attainment, developmental course-taking). The second presentation examines relationships between college outcomes and opportunities for DL (e.g., opportunities to collaborate) and DL competencies (e.g., self-efficacy) measured in high school. The third presentation examines effects of attending a DL network high school on students’ civic engagement and workforce outcomes between 5 and 6 years after expected high school graduation. The fourth presentation examines relationships between opportunities for DL and DL competencies in high school and civic engagement outcomes.
