Session Type: Symposium
Through a framework of pluriversal literacies and vulnerability (Perry 2020), the Graduate Student Board of the Writing & Literacies SIG will facilitate an intergenerational discussion to examine our collective participation in platforms for accessible scholarship and how these have shifted during this global pandemic and a new wave of activism in service of racial justice. How do we engage in literacies research in responsible ways and make sense of our role as scholars amid the many other relationalities we take up? This session will engage participants in critiquing and broadening our conception of public scholarship and will include options for participation like live Twitter chats backchannel and breakout rooms supporting participant contributions to SIG digital artifacts and virtual networking.
