Session Type: Invited Speaker Session
Voices from the undocumented community continue to demonstrate how higher education institutions have the capacity to nationally advocate and defend their students, but rarely do so for undocumented students. This session brings together undocumented teachers, community pedagogues, undergraduate organizers, and higher education workers to talk about their higher education experiences. In particular, the panelists will address how higher education institutions oftentimes do not cater to, and can even neglect, the experiences and needed support for undocumented people. We invite those who are interested in organizing, student advocacy, centering undocumented voices, and holding higher education institutions accountable to join and learn with the panelists.
