Division A Fireside Chat. Envisioning Educational Research: Critical Perspectives in Leadership and Praxis for Emerging Scholars in COVID-19 Times

Abstract

As the field of educational leadership moves towards a reimagining of schooling and practice during an era of reform, disruption, and trauma in schools, this chat is a conversation that brings in different perspectives and critical thinking across the field of educational research. Specifically, we bring together an interdisciplinary panel of scholars whose work illustrates these issues with critical lenses in various forms. We desire for this chat to foster a space for emerging scholars in attendance to ask new questions of themselves, their work, and their praxis in defining and ensuring an educational future for students in K-12 schools. The invited panelists address educational leadership and administration through a critical lens and with a focus on equity.
