Session Type: Invited Speaker Session

Abstract

Need a lifeline? Mentoring is often a lifesaving relationship that is necessary to your survival of graduate school. Join us for a CRT-based critical dialogue where participants actively listen to the counterstories of our panelists, who are graduate student leaders of color and mentors of color. This panel will provide two separate spaces, one for women of color and one for men of color, with a switch half-way to get both perspectives. This panel will provide a space for mindful and reflective self-work, with special attention paid to space, place, voice, and respect. All are welcome to this event and we encourage your active participation in these critical conversations regardless of positionality as an act of social activism.
