Presenters will discuss ways anti-racism can be promoted within academic settings. Speakers will share their experiences advocating for change within systems, and provide practical action steps and resources for dismantling the ways in which white supremacy is perpetuated through practices and polices within educational institutions. Speakers will guide attendees in anti-racism practice as they take on leadership roles through teaching, conducting research, engaging in practicum placements or engaging in practice in school/community settings, as well as managing teams and projects. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn from panelists’ experiences and develop action plans for engaging in advocacy work to promote anti-racism in their roles and settings. The panel will include diverse perspectives from multiple institutions and professional backgrounds.
