Session Type: Invited Speaker Session
As education researchers, research methodologists, and psychometricians, one of our greatest strengths is to influence the direction of how education research is conducted and what evidence is shared. Therefore Division D Equity and Inclusion Committee has organized a panel of speakers who will examine equity, inclusion, and social justice in relation to educational measurement and research methodologies, and how those implications for educational research matter in educational praxis.
The session leverages the experiences and methodological expertise from a wide range of interdisciplinary fields including education, measurement, demography, sociology, psychology and philosophy of science. The speakers integrate a range of social justice interests in their research, including gender-based inequalities, race and ethnicity, human rights, bilingual communities, and socioeconomic class-based disparities.
