Precision Education: Experiences of the Virtual Learning Lab

Abstract

Our 2-hour session will feature an overview of and lessons learned through the Virtual Learning Lab, a 5 year research and innovation center funded by the Institute of Education Sciences (IES Award R305C16004). The research of the Virtual Learning Lab encompasses the fields of educational data mining, recommendation systems, affect measurement, computational psychometrics, teacher orchestration, natural language processing, and causal inference methods. Join us to learn about the research products of the Virtual Learning Lab and their impact student learning, with opportunities to connect with each PI in small-group discussions.
