Quality of inquiry-based learning is a critical component of STEM education. In addition, development of research culture depends partnership building among faculty in teaching and scholarly activities. Both components are examined in this study with federal grant funding to expand opportunities of student learning and network of faculty collaboration. SOLO Taxonomy is employed to analyze the depth of student learning illustrated by student research projects in Grad Slam competitions. Social network analyses are conducted on the partnership data to disentangle reciprocal and non-reciprocal connections of faculty that impact sustainability of instructional support for STEM education. The results show depth of student learning in research inquiries. A Netdraw software is employed to depict the patterns of faculty networking.
