Abstract

Improvement science is an approach aimed at solving complex and systematic problems of practice. Using a typology of three categories (I.e., Non-Commitment, Emergent Commitment, Commitment), this paper looks at the degree to which states promote an improvement science approach to educational improvement through the analysis of 52 ESSA State Plans.
