The study examined changes in self-efficacy as a result of college-aged students’ participation in the Summer Bridge transition program from high school to college. The study assesses the relationship of self-efficacy with use of resources and summer GPA. Data was collected at the beginning and end of the SBP from students at two public four-year institutions. I hypothesized that self-efficacy would change during the six weeks that students were enrolled in SBP and changes in self-efficacy are a predictor of resources and course GPA. The results showed no significant relationship between program participation and self-efficacy. However, finding led to more questions that support the need to understand the impact of SBPs in the areas of program delivery on student self-efficacy.
