Abstract

Project-Based learning (PBL) has been implemented in schools across the world for many years yet its implementation with students with disabilities is not well represented. In the present review I looked at over 400 databases to find the existing literature describing PBL as it has been implemented with students with disabilities. The search of existing literature provided 10 studies that detailed the experiences of students with disabilities in PBL. I have included a discussion of academic outcomes, non-academic outcomes, and potential concerns for students with disabilities. Overall PBL shows promise as a curriculum to promote academic and non-academic outcomes and positively impact engagement for students with disabilities.
