Square Root Academy (SRA) is a community-based non-profit organization whose programming focuses on virtual and in-person enrichment workshops for local community youth in grades 5-12. With a mission to “reimagine S.T.E.A.M. education” (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics), the organization sources from non-traditional educators who have experience in those fields and a love for learning (Square Root Academy, 2021). SRA promotes scientific, quantitative, and coding literacies, especially for traditionally underrepresented youth; its work has been referenced by local media (ABC10, 2019; Shoka, 2019).
