Our research questions are: Why is Paulo Freire considered an international author? How did he influence the international context of education initially with the publication of the Pedagogy of the Oppressed (PO)? The research methodology is document analysis based on his autobiographical books and personnal interviews.
We can conclude by stating that Freire drew up a project, but he managed to take advantage even of the adversities as the period of exile. Thus, he not only acquired an international perspective with his experience in foreign countries through a rich exchange of experiences as well as becoming an international author who, having received criticism, was able to incorporate aspects that gave his work international prestige and visibility.
