Abstract

This literature review examines studies that have implemented culturally responsive social and emotional learning interventions in public schools. Few literature reviews examine these studies. To address this gap, I examine the outcomes and implementation these studies. The review of these studies revealed that the social and emotional and culturally responsive measurements had positive outcomes, while, for most studies, implementation approaches were similar across the studies. Overall, these studies show that culturally responsive is a useful resource for students of color, but further research is needed to benefit more students.
