Development, Validation, and Use of an Instrument to Assess Stakeholders' Perceptions of School Performance

Sat, April 23, 2:30 to 4:00pm PDT (2:30 to 4:00pm PDT), Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina, Floor: South Building, Level 3, Cardiff

Abstract

Because the school-level environment is an important predictor of student and teacher outcomes, we developed distinctive new instruments that measure the extent to which teachers and students perceive the success of the implementation of a new educational and school framework in Catholic Education South Australia (CESA). Stakeholders responded to their perception of school performance against the educational and school standards defined in the CESA framework. Instruments were piloted with 628 teachers in twenty-five schools and 2268 students in ten schools.
