Abstract

Teachers’ perceptions of Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) and program implementation can impact outcomes for students and teachers. In addition, SEL implementation can impact a school’s climate. This paper examines the quantitative outcomes of a mixed-methods study. Specifically, one school’s School Climate Survey data as reported by teachers was explored. The adult learning theory andragogy is the theoretical lens in which the study was analyzed, exploring whether or not the assumptions were met that fostered educator growth. This study is important as it adds to the empirical evidence that illustrates SEL program implementation on educators and school climate.
