An Examination of 2018 NAEP Eighth-Grade Civics Assessment

This proposed study will employ HLM and multiple regression to examine the interaction among variables associated with student knowledge of civics and U.S. history as measured by 8th Grade 2018 NAEP. This study will replicate methods used by previous studies using NAEP data in U.S. history 8th and 12th grade history (Author). Particular attention to variables that have been shown to be significant in preliminary analyses of 8th Grade 2018 NAEP will be used.
