Abstract

Lance T. McCready, Ph.D (he/they) is an Associate Professor in the Department of Leadership, Higher and Adult Education, Director of the Transitional Year Programme, and Lead Researcher for Making Spaces Lab at University of Toronto. Dr. McCready's most recent research focuses on Black queer youth transitions, access to postsecondary education and HIV prevention and care for Black gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men (GBMSM). Dr. McCready will speak to about the ways QOCCAE informs his research program on Black Queer Community Development and his service as a mentor, specifically how and why it is important to develop a pipeline of educator/scholar/activists who ground their work in QOCCAE perspectives.
