Abstract

K-12 educational settings have endured a recurring series of crisis events that have disrupted their typical, peaceful environments and curriculum programs. This multiple case study explores the crisis experiences of Executive Leaders of Curriculum and Instruction. Utilizing a thematic narrative analysis approach, findings show that the disruptions demonstrate a need for strategic crisis leadership using the Five Critical Tasks of Strategic Crisis Leadership (Boin et al., 2017).
