While there has been research on Hip-Hop culture in Chile from socio-anthropological stances, research from a pedagogical viewpoint is almost absent. In this study, we explored what Hip-Hop Pedagogy practices are been used to sustain minoritized students’ cultures and to promote their learning and personal development. Data was obtained through semi structured interviews and document review including audiovisual material used and recommended by participants. This group of educators included: three Hip-Hop artists/educators; two Educators from a Hip-Hop NGO; a formal Spanish Language teacher that includes Hip-Hop in her teaching. Results are divided in two: first, we note learning and skills specific to Spanish language learning; second, core pedagogical aspects in which HHP help students’ learning and development, regardless the subject-matter.
