Estimating the Effects of an Antiracist Intervention on Campus Administrators' Beliefs About Equity and Justice: A Quasi-Experimental Study

Mon, April 25, 2:30 to 4:00pm PDT (2:30 to 4:00pm PDT), Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina, Floor: South Building, Level 3, Miramar

Abstract

Analyzing data from 210 campus administrators, the present study was designed to estimate the effects of an anti-racist academic intervention on participants’ beliefs, perceptions, and behaviors related to equity, race, and justice. Preliminary results suggest the intervention holds promise for advancing anti-racist philosophies and practices in higher education. Additionally, campus administrators in the experimental group reported greater awareness, knowledge, and intentions (to act) about anti-racist education, compared to both control groups.
