Learning Analytics in higher education, specifically in E-Learning, offers potential possibilities for educators to assess and make recommendations for improving learning. However, data collection and analysis pose significant challenges in managing, interpreting, and purposefully using such educational data to support learning. Our study explored faculty investigation of student learning in a clinical setting by employing a mixed-method approach, combining analytics from 16 first-year nursing students' interactions with the e-Learning module on women's health concepts and structured interviews with nursing faculty teaching at a midwestern university. Our findings uncovered several underlying factors that influenced how students interact and learn with e-module. The paper will highlight opportunities to use learning analytics for the benefit of faculty teaching and student learning.
