This paper aims to examine the educational imaginations of Black people in the United States as these knowledges have most consistently aimed to transform education, rework and enlarge the polity/democracy, and refigure the distorted contours of the western (hu)man/subject. More succinctly, the purpose of this paper is to explore the subjugated knowledges of those considered the “unthought” (Hartman and Wilderson, 2003) and consider what possibilities and modes of resistance these knowledges could open up in an era of privatization, neo-fascism, and enunciated anti-Blackness.
