Mon, April 25, 11:30am to 1:00pm PDT (11:30am to 1:00pm PDT), San Diego Convention Center, Floor: Upper Level, Room 9

Abstract

Strong passion for the international mobility program amongst Asian faculties has created a unique interdisciplinary course named Virtual Asia Exploration (VAx). Taking advantage of a Digital Transformation (DX) trend, 6 technological universities from 5 countries (Japan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and The Philippines) have been hosting collaborative lectures about each country’s culture, history, and technical advancement not only for facilitating mutual understandings but also nurturing diverse and long-lasting friendships beyond racial differences. Participants’ progress in their global competency is measured.
This research explores how Asian universities are effectively providing their students with virtual and practical learning experiences, analyzing the effectiveness of this approach, and illustrating more collaborative opportunities amongst educational institutes for enhancing borderless teaching methods under the new normalized environment.
