This study is to quantitatively measure the 411 Vietnamese in-service English teachers of K-12 minority students, in terms of their teacher motivation and engagement, and how they were unfolded to interact reciprocally. It is positive that the quality of our researched teachers’ quality has been gauged in terms of their professional acts generally and their teaching practice particularly, when our findings showed very good levels of different types of autonomous motivation and forms of engagement. Moreover, all forms of engagement were correlated with external and intrinsic motivation, not introjected and identified motivation. This reality is reflective of the true needs of these teachers with their involvement in collaboration with other parties in developing their teaching in response to social needs.
