Abstract

As a leading expert on human development from sociocultural and ecological perspectives familiar with affirmative develop, this [confirmed] presenter will cover concerns raised in the recent National Academy of Education report on Educating for Civic Reasoning & Discourse that resonate with affirmative development as a resource for educational transformation drawing on the ways of knowing and adaptive skills of underserved communities. Attention will be called to the theme of this session: Affirmative Development: Civic Engagement.
