Session Type: Symposium
This symposium provides an overview of the forthcoming Handbook of Classroom Management, 3rd edition (in press). The session will include a preview of the 28 chapters found in the Handbook and will highlight contemporary lines of classroom management investigation. Scholars will discuss information from their Handbook chapters covering Critical Race Theory applied to classroom management, adapting classroom management across school contexts, the school to prison pipeline and its relationship to classroom management, and classroom management across tiered behavioral interventions. Current classroom management intervention trends will be emphasized as well as new directions in research. Information on new chapter topics found in the 3rd edition, and not found in earlier editions of the Handbook, will also be presented.
