Thu, April 21, 2:30 to 4:00pm PDT (2:30 to 4:00pm PDT), World Educational Research Association Virtual Meeting Rooms, WERA Virtual Meeting Room 1

Session Type: Symposium

Abstract

In this WERA symposium, we propose different theoretical, empirical and conceptual contributions to research on educational potentials for social equality and inclusion in the field of intercultural inclusion and social justice. In order to promote social equity, social inclusion we address different layers of society. Not only political programmatics become relevant here, but the relevance of cultural perspectives of everyday practices is addressed. Schools, Higher Education and Self Organization are institutional contexts and strategies of organizing of exclusion and inclusion. The symposium from an organizational education perspective discusses the mechanisms of positioning practices of social (in)justice and social exclusion – and potential inclusion. Here, global dimensions have to be taken into account.
