Abstract
This symposium encourages scholars who identify as hip-hop educators, and who utilize hip-hop based approaches in their teaching practice, to examine their positionality, understand hip hop based education as an identity-affirming pedagogy, and a neuroscientifically grounded and social justice-oriented approach to address mental health in the classroom
