Abstract

Critical Race Theory (CRT) as An Educational Warrior Calling and Way of Life” features four CRT powerhouses. Our panelists will share their lived experiences as not only modern-day warriors but as literal #Superheroes, who are influencing and leading all our peoples today. Dr. David Stovall is a professor in Black Studies and Criminology, Law and Justice at the University of Illinois, Chicago. Dr. Shiv Desai is an Associate Professor in the Department of Teacher Education, Educational Leadership and Policy at the University of New Mexico. Dr. Timberly Baker is an Associate Professor of Educational Leadership at Arkansas State University. Øscar Medina is a Doctoral Candidate and graduate student representative for the Critical Race Studies in Education Association (CRSEA).
