Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic presented significant challenges for public-school teachers across the United States (e.g., Leech et al., 2020). Researchers have only begun to study the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on public education, and few studies have addressed the longitudinal impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on public school teachers’ and their experience in the workplace. This study adopted a positive psychological perspective and examined the longitudinal impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic on public school teachers’ workplace well-being. On average overall workplace well-being decreased from 2019 to 2021. These findings indicate a troubling pattern of declining workplace well-being which has important implications for public-school administrators, policymakers, and teacher advocates.
