Abstract

This paper discusses key principles for implementing a holistic approach to education. Specifically, the paper presents ten key principles in holistic education that the author believes form the basis for an in-depth exploration of what is essential in holistic pedagogy. The paper does not present a definitive “list” of the ten most key principles in holistic education, but rather provides a basis for more in-depth exploration of holistic pedagogy. This paper concerns the experience of students that were enrolled in a MA program in Holistic Education, a program recognized by its students and the professional community as an exemplar program in transformative education.
