Abstract

This paper analyzes how nine postsecondary foundations (2000-2019) motivated their college completion work in relation to race/racism and the relationship between these commitments and their grantmaking. Findings shed light on the difference between projects aimed at broad systems improvement for “all” students and racialized change work aimed at systemic racism.
