Ethics Education in School Leadership and Management Training: An Identity-Based Model (Poster 29)

Abstract

The present paper aims to describe how leadership and management training programs that target moral capacities development influence participants' moral identity. The paper relies on identity control as the theoretical point of origin to develop the conceptual model outlining the dynamic of ethics education in leadership and management training for adults. Despite that ethics education in leadership and management studies has become a consensus, a psychological theory outlining its processes and outcomes is lacking. A conceptual model was developed drawing on Identity Control Theory, which sketches how ethics education operates and what are its effects.
