Abstract

This study assessed the feasibility of Taiwanese parents supporting their young children’s learning through embedded learning opportunity (ELO) interventions. This single-case study was conducted with three parent–child dyads. Each dyad has been adopted a multiple-probe design and assessed the impact of training on the use of ELO interventions by parents in home routines and on the parent’s and subsequently on the child’s behaviors. The results revealed that participating parents learned to use ELO strategies, and their children made improvements toward their target goals. Implications for future research and practice, as well as professionals’ roles in supporting families with young children with disabilities, are discussed.
